Body Shop Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Direct Repair Provider (DRP) body shop?

Most major insurance companies have a list of DRP's they give to their clients. In order to be on the list a DRP has to meet certain requirements set up by the insurance company. Andy's Auto Collision Centers is a DRP for most major insurance companies in the Phoenix area.

Am I required to go to the body shop that my insurance company recommends?

No, we recommend that you go with a collision repair shop that you know and trust. (We're seriously hoping that will be us.) Your insurance company cannot require you to go to a particular body shop. You have the right to choose.

Do I need an appointment for an estimate?

No, an appointment is not required. You can always stop by with any questions you have or to get an estimate. That being said, we always recommend you make an appointment to ensure you get immediate attention once you arrive. Our business hours are Mon-Fri, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

How long will the estimating process take?

Most repair estimates take 10-20 minutes. The process may take longer if, for example, extensive damage exists or vehicle is an older model and parts are uncommon.

What should I bring with me for an estimate?

We recommend you bring any documentation you received from the insurance company that will be paying for the repair. Some examples of items you could bring include emails, any prior written estimates, an insurance claim number, the contact information for the insurance company, and any insurance checks that have been pre-issued to you.

Do I need 3 estimates?

No, you are free to get as many estimates as you'd like, but it is not necessary. You just need to choose the shop of your choice and notify the insurance company.

I need a ride to/from home/work?

We can provide you with a complimentary ride to or from our shop when dropping off or picking up your vehicle within the local area.

Do you have a key drop?

Yes, we have a key drop at the front of the building in the event you need to drop your vehicle off after normal business hours.

Am I entitled to a rental vehicle?

Your insurance company will have the last work on this answer. The general rule is if you have purchased rental coverage on your existing auto policy, then you are entitled to a rental car. If your accident falls under the personal property category then you are entitled to a car rental paid for by the insurance company.
